In summer session of the Parliament Assembly of the European Council the problem connected with troubles caused by Serseng water cellar, which is under Armenian observation is going to be discussed. The conclusion layout presented by Elkhan Suleymanov – the president of the Aid Association to the Development of Civil Society member of Shamakhi and signed by the deputes representing 14 European countries will be observed on April 6 in the Presidents’ Commission of the European Council.
In the layout of the conclusion it is stated that over 400 thousand inhabitants of the front regions (Agjabedi, Agdam, Barda, Goranboy, Tartar, Yevlakh ) of Azerbaijan are facing humanitarian, ecological and biological threats daily because of water famine.
In the layout it is also stressed that those mountainous regions have used Serseng water cellar. Built on the river Tartar for years before, but after its invasion the melioration network suffer from the lack of water in hot summer months, what’s more, in cold months water isn’t given to the regions on purpose.
The president of AADCSA, parliament member of Shamakhi Elkhan Suleymanov states that not depending on the border of the Parliament Assembly of the European Council, water consuming is the right of all citizens. For that reason in the layout of the conclusion the researching of this problem by the Assembly, sorting out the reason of the question and for this purpose the appointing of the speaker and preparing a speech on it, making up a conclusion calling the international public to solve the problem and other important items can be seen.
It should be mentioned that since May 2013 AADCSA has launched a widespread international layout connected with the humanitarian tragedy, economical, ecological and biological crisis caused by the invasion of Serseng water cellar.
During this period, in the world media more than 3 thousand articles on this problem have been published, the appeals of the people living in the area of humanitarian tragedy have been published to PAEC, European Parliament, OSCE and other reputable organizations, the international public have been informed of the layout.
