agonies, also the facts collected due to the documents composed by international organization and representatives of opposite side are presented in the book to readers.
Abbasov Gurbanali Abbasgulu oglu was born in Gasil village of Aghdam district of Azerbaijan Republic in 1974. He was called up for military service in 1991. Abbasov Gurbanali took part in fights for Aghdam as a member of tank crew allotted to Lankaran garrison. During occupation of Aghdam he was taken prisoner by Armenians.
It was shown in a statement of his father Abbasov Abbasgulu Abbas oglu while searcheg for his son, his frontline comrades said that during occupation of Aghdam, Gurbanali went to the tank. An old man who lived in Giyasli village of Aghdam district and returned from Armenian captivity informed that Gurbanali was taken prisoner and kept in a house of an Armenian in Khankandi. According to the information of officer in the reserve Aliyev Agalar Khasay oglu (he lives in Baku, H.AIiyev Street, 1 app.43), when he served as a commander of self-defense battalion he was engaged in change of prisoners and hostages and got a list of 72 Azerbaijani prisoners and hostages from the representative of opposite side Alexander Agasaryan. There was the name of Abbasov Gurbanali in that list. According to a statement of Tagiyev Mammad Gachay oglu who lived in Garadaghli village of Khojavand district (now he lives in Machgara village of Beylagan district) and engaged in change of prisoners and hostages, it was shown that Abbasov Gurbanali was kept in Shusha prison.
Abbasov Rafael Sultan oglu was born in 1968. He served as a driver-mechanich of heavy carrier in military unit. On the 8th of May, 1992 during occupation of Shusha Abbasov Rafael was taken prisoner. Soldiers fought till the bullets were over. Rafael was wounded in leg. He connected and asked for the help from national hero Albert Agarunov by radio communication. Albert was the commander and with members of tank crew went to help. Armenians killed him. Abbasov Rafael was taken prisoner by them. According to the information of Helsinki Civil Assembly from 1993 Abbasov Rafael was alive. At the beginning Rafael was kept in Yerevan prison then he was sent to Sovetashan settlement. While Huseynov Akif Saleh who lived in Asrik-Jirdakhan village of Tovuz district Huseynov Akif Saleh oglu searching for his sister Huseynova Tamara Saleh gizi, he got a list of prisoners of war and hostages from Alaverdiyan Shamir (Yerevan-74, Nijniy Shengavit str. 35, app.22, phone: 48-67-93) in Tbilisi and there was the name of Abbasov Rafael in that list. It was shown that he was kept in Yerevan prison. It was shown in a statement of father of former prisoner of war Jabbarov Ali Telman oglu-Jabbarov Telman Idris oglu (now he lives in Baku, Yasamal district, «Gizil Sherq» military town 98, app.19 ) met Armenian whose name was Gagik in Tbilisi and saw Abbasov Rafael’s name in that list. It was shown Rafael was kept in Yerevan prison and then he was sent to Sovetashan settlement.
Abbasov Rasim Abbas oglu was born in Kechili village of Shamkir district of Azerbaijan Republic in 1973. In 1992 he was called up for military service by the Military Registration and Enlistment Office of Shamkir district. Abbasov Rasim took part in fights for Aghdara district allotted to Internal Forces of Ministry of Internal Affairs. On the 30th of July, 1992 during the fight for Aterk village of Aghdara district he was taken prisoner. During the meeting organized by the officials of ICRC in Tbilisi in 1993, Huseynov Akif Saleh oglu who lived in Asrik-Jirdakhan of Tovuz district met Armenian representatives and got a list of Azerbaijani prisoners and hostages in Upper Garabagh. There was the name of Abbasov Rasim Abbas oglu. In the list it was shown that he was kept in Armenia.
Abbasov Vagif Ali oglu was born in Hasangala village of Khachmaz district of Azerbaijan Republic in 1972. In September of 1992 he was called up for military service by the Military Registration and Enlistment Office of Khachmaz district and sent to Zangilan district. During the fight for Gazanchi village of same district Abbasov Vagif was taken prisoner by Armenians. His father Abbasov Ali Hamzat oglu wrote a statement that somebody called him from Russia and said that his son was alive and kept in Garabaghli village of Gorus district of Armenia. When Huseynov Akif Saleh oglu who lived in Asrik-Jirdakhan village of Tovuz district searched for his sister Huseynova Tamara Saleh gizi, Armenian Gagik gave him a list of 43 Azerbaijani prisoners of war kept by the opposite side. There was Abbasov Vagif’s name in that list. It was shown that he was kept in Garabaghli village of Gorus district.
