Dear readers, we are going on presenting you Esmira Orjova’s book named “Release us from captivity” part by part. The kept of captive Azerbaijan citizens in invaded Azerbaijan territories and in Armenia as a result of annexationist politics of Armenians, the witness stories which affirm that captives were exposed to torture and
agonies, also the facts collected due to the documents composed by international organization and representatives of opposite side are presented in the book to readers.
Abbasov Valiyaddin Umudvar oglu was born in Khojali town of Azerbaijan Republic. On the 26th of February, 1993, during occupation of Khojali by Armenian armed forces the Abbasovs were taken prisoners and sent to Asgaran district. Later the corpses of all the members of their family except Abbasov Vilayaddin were returned.
According to a statement of Valiyad-din’s brother Abbasov Chingiz Umudvar oglu, when they left Khojali they were surrounded in the forest by Armenians. At the same time he tried to run away but was caught by Armenians and sent to Dahraz village near Nakhchivanik.
The father of Garayev Usubali (he was in captivity) – Garayev Suleyman Salman oglu who returned from captivity (now he lives in «Shirvan» sanatorium in Naftalan town) wrote a statement that Armenians took 13 young men including his son and Valiyaddin
Abbasov Vidadi Mukhtar oglu was born in Bayimli village of Aghsu district of Azerbaijan Republic in 1963. In October of 1993 he was called up for military service by the Military Registration and Enlistment Office of Nizami district of Baku. Abbasov Vidadi served in a military unit in Garvand village of Aghdam district.
On the 28th of December, 1993 because of fog Vidadi’s battalion Ne5 consisted of 49 men lost the way and theythey were taken prisones by Armenians.
Atamoglanov Seyfulla Sabir oglu who lived in Kursengi village of Salyan district searched for his missed brother ****
There he met Armenian whose name was Gago who lived in Lembeli village of Noyembryan district of Armenia. Gago gave him a list of 14 Azerbaijanis being in Armenian captivity. There was the name of Abbasov Vidadi in that list. According to Gago’s information at the beginning prisoners were kept in Kirovakan city of Armenia and then they were moved into investigatory isolation of Committee of State Security of Yerevan. Armenian side denied that all fact.
Abdullayev Seymur Abdulla oglu was born in Bilasu-var district of Azerbaijan Republic in 1975. On the 6th of January, 1994, he was called up for military service by the Military Registration and Enlistment Office of Bilasuvar district. Seymur took part in fights for Aghdam district. On the 26th of April, 1994 wounded Seymur was taken prisoner by Armenians in fight for Nemirli village of Aghdam district.
According to his brother’s information Abdullayev Sahib Abdulla oglu (he lives in Bilasuvar town, Akhund Molla Huseyn Street, 25), his front-line comrades informed that during the fight for Nemirli village, his brother with villager Gozelov Azer Khanish oglu was wounded and taken prisoner.
According to the words of Abdullayev Tofig Ismayil oglu who lived in Shushen village of Asgaran village (at present he lives in sanatorium «Zugulba» in Baku, Buzovna Settlement) and engaged in change of prisoners and hostages, during the meeting with the representative of Armenian side Albert Voskanyan, he got a list of 37 Azerbaijani prisoners of war who kept in Garabagh hidden from ICRC. There was the name of Abdullayev Seymur in that list Tofig. Armenians wanted to change them for a killer of journalist Salatin Asgarova – Arkadi Ayriyan whose nick name was «Napoleon».
The change didn’t realize because Ayriyan died and that’s why the further Seymur’s life was unknown.
Abdullayev Anur Arif oglu was born in Baku in 1975. In August of 1993 he was called up for military service by the Military Registration and Enlistment Office of Sabunchu district of Baku. On the 25th of January, 1994 Abdullayev Anur was sent to Fuzuli front. On the 1st of February, 1994 during the fight for Horadiz village of Fuzuli district he was taken prisoner.
According to the words of Rzayev Kha-gani Maharram oglu who lived in Salyan town and returned from Armenian captivity, he served with Anur in the same military unit. On the 1st of February, 1994 during the fight for Horadiz village of Fuzuli district, he saw that Armenians fired upon Anur and stayed at the battle field.
His father Abdullayev Arif Huseyn oglu wrote a statement that his son was taken prisoner by Armenians in Fuzuli and when Aslanov Azer Salman oglu returned (later he is sentenced to the prison), he said that he was kept with Anur in Shusha prison on the 15th of May, 2001.
